Cycling in Flanders brings a touch of Flanders to L’Etape Denmark
On the 28th and 29th of June, you have the chance to meet Johan Museeuw, ride the Muur of Flanders and taste the legendary Flemish stew energy gel together with L’Etape Denmark and Cycling in Flanders.
Do you fancy an unforgettable cycling experience combining the best of the Tour de France as well as the Tour of Flanders? Then you should head to Viborg, Denmark, for the 2nd edition of the L’Etape Denmark by Tour de France.
Here, in collaboration with Cycling in Flanders you will have the exclusive opportunity to ride with 3 times Tour of Flanders winner Johan Museeuw on the 28th of June, when he hosts a 50 km social ride taking you around the beautiful cycling area of Viborg.
After the ride, we will enjoy a cold Belgian beer and have a casual chat. Please note that there is a limited number of spots available for the ride. Register here.
The following day, L’Etape Denmark takes place, and you have the opportunity to participate in 1 of 5 different routes including the 50 km route, where Museeuw himself will participate.
All routes feature challenging climbs such as the official Muur of Flanders segment bringing a touch of Flanders to Denmark. This is also your chance to try and match the time set by Museeuw on the segment and compete for a great prize: A two-night stay for two, including breakfast, at Museeuw’s Cobblehouse at the foot of the Oude Kwaremont! And that’s not all: the Lion of Flanders himself will take you for a ride along some of the most legendary bergs and cobbles of Flanders.
After finishing the event, you can head to the Cycling in Flanders booth in the finish area to chat more cycling and Flanders as a bucket-list cycling destination with Museeuw and the team behind Cycling in Flanders.
You will also be able to taste the famous Flemish stew energy gel launched this spring, bringing the authentic flavor of Flanders in the form of a gel.

L’Etape Denmark by Tour de France
L'Etape Denmark by Tour de France is held as part of Denmark's biggest recurring cycling event, Hærvejsløbet - The Viking Gran Fondo with approximately 7,000 participants. The event presents a total of 15 different routes on road, MTB and gravel. In 2024, the event is arranged for the 12th time and for the 2nd time as an official L'Etape by Tour de France event.
The L’Etape concept is designed to make you feel almost like a Tour de France rider with KOM and sprint segments, competition for the leader’s jerseys and a Tour village at the finish area.
